Stockton ... country living and history

Stockton is north of Bay Minette in the northern-most section of Baldwin County. Located at the intersections of Highways 59 and 225 just north of I-65, making for quick access south to Bay Minette and Mobile, or north toward Montgomery.

It is the closest community to the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta island that has the Bottle Creek Indian Mounds, a National Historic Landmark managed by the Alabama Historical Commission. It can only be reached by river, with interpretive boat and kayak tours available year-round.

Fort Mims is also a significant historic site. There's a reenactment the last weekend of August each year about the massacre of settlers at the fort during the Creek Indian War (1813 to 1814).
